Princess Cut Strain, Initial Thoughts
Princess Cut Strain, These days when I see a nice pack with a crazy shape or wild name I find myself preparing to be let down by the contents. Yes, it seems that many would rather spend time on marketing materials and packaging than their end product. When I saw this Diamond Fire pack from DC i-71 cannabis delivery service, Exotic Organics, however, I knew it would be a different story given their track record for having actual designer exotics on hand.
Though we would have liked to see a little less cure on it and larger buds, the quality of this Princess Cut Strain really shines through when you begin breaking it up. It’s at that point that the phenomenal aroma is released and you can gaze upon the splendid trichomes that grace the interior of these buds.
Princess Cut Strain, Appearance
Green and purple with good trichome coverage on the outside. On the interior the trichomes are still starry.
Status
Cured, but freshness emerges when breaking it up.
Aroma
Like vanilla and caramel candy. Subtle at first, but awesome when fully released.
Flavor
A silky smooth toke that has sugary, candy-like notes with hints of caramel, cream, and vanilla.
Lineage
Princess Cut is an Ice Cream Cake phenotype originally bred by DiamondFire that runs indica dominant. It’s a cross of Gelato and Wedding Cake.
Princess Cut Strain, Effects
This Princess Cut has immense potency with a very cerebral, mellow high. Note that the body high came on strong after about 30 minutes and all of my limbs felt lighter at that point. You can burn this during the day, but it does do a number on your eye lids, making them more squinty than usual. It’s not hard to stay awake, though, and I was somewhat alert during the experience. I will say that I enjoyed the style of buzz much more in the evening time.
